Christmas 2010 in a Nutshell

So once again, I have not posted for a month!  Nevertheless, I need to keep everyone updated on the latest happenings.  We had a wonderful Christmas (all 3 times that we celebrated it!)

Christmas Eve at the Atwood's
We started off with Christmas Eve at Travis' parents house. Jackson had fun playing with his cousins, opening presents, and staying up way past his bedtime. Travis' Mom and Dad had an evening full of fun and crazy "minute to win it" games planned and we all enjoyed competing for the grand prize--a Kohl's gift card. Travis' youngest brother Parker was the winner (after a tie-breaker match with Travis' other brother Ben) I think that I came in dead last, or close to it!

Christmas at home
Next we had our own little Christmas at home.  Even though we knew Jackson wouldn't know the difference between an empty box and one with a present in it (and would probably like the box more than the present) we still wanted to spoil him just a little bit.  It was so fun to see him get excited about what he was opening just because we were excited!

Waiting to open presents at Grandpa and Grandma Haskin's
The week after Christmas, we were home for just a couple of days, (barely long enough to get some laundry done) before we left again to spend a week in Iowa. New Years Eve doubled as Christmas Eve with my family. We opened gifts to/from each other that night and then on New Years Day, Santa Claus had come!

We were not surprised that Jackson was spoiled rotten by his Grandpa and Grandmas, as well as his aunts and uncles.  Thank you to everyone for all the gifts and memories! Our first Christmas as a family of three was magical!!

You really need to get better at your story telling again. You never mentioned a word about the minute to win it games when you were here telling me about Christmas Eve. This I've got to hear.

Now that's the way to celebrate Christmas...THREE times! I still chuckle to myself when I think about those minute to win it games.

I'm the biggest fan of Jackson in his cool "roadster" hat. I also have to tell you that one of your friends posted a UTube video of Japanese t-shirt folding. I googled an English version....and I have a new skill. Simple pleasures are the best. Wayne's family did some Minute To Win It games on Christmas too. We had a great time.
